Steve Byars is the vice president of administration for AMX. Serving in this role since joining the company in 2001, Mr. Byars serves in a variety of leadership roles with corporate responsibility for human resources, organizational development, facilities, security, payroll and real estate. In addition, Mr. Byars serves as the AMX corporate ethics officer. Mr. Byars is a key member of the executive team responsible for the internal structures and culture within the company promoting the significant growth AMX continues to experience.

Prior to joining AMX, Mr. Byars was the corporate vice president for administration for Hollywood Casino Corporation, Greate Bay Casino Corporation, Pratt Hotel Corporation, and Advanced Casino Systems Corporation from 1995 until joining AMX. In this role, Mr. Byars helped grow these publicly-held corporations, open new facilities across north America, and dramatically increase their earnings. In this role Mr. Byars was responsible for all Human Resources, Regulatory & Compliance Programs, Security, Facilities, Payroll, Communications, Public Relations, Training and Information Technology for these corporations that were all managed by the same executive team.

Mr. Byars also served as the vice president of administration & human resources for Fidelity Investments from 1990 until 1995 helping grow Fidelity by opening new offices and operations across the U.S. In addition, Mr. Byars background includes experience on the management team at Trammel Crow Company. Mr. Byars began his career at Texas Instruments.

Mr. Byars also volunteers his time and energy to a variety of charitable and not-for-profit organizations where he has served on boards and in other roles.

Mr. Byars holds an MBA from the University of North Texas and a BA in both Economics and Psychology from the University of North Texas.
