Section 508 Compliance

Section 508 Information Request

AMX is strongly committed to simplifying the use of technology for all users, including those with disabilities in compliance with Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act.

In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 through Section 508 to require Federal agencies to make electronic and information technology (EIT) accessible to people with disabilities. Specifically, Section 508 requires that Federal employees with disabilities have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to the access and use by Federal employees who are not disabled in agencies that develop, procure, maintain or use EIT.

The AMX User Interface product line is designed to exceed the Section 508 standard through deployment of features that enable accessibility.
