Meet The Team

From AMX International:
Timothy Penn and Justin Kennedy

 

Timothy Penn and Justin Kennedy are better known as the starting forwards for the AMX Globetrotters as they spend much of their time criss-crossing the continents to introduce the world to AMX.

But now they'll be spending even more time with our world partners as both have just taken on new roles and responsibilities. Penn has just been named Managing Director of Sales and Marketing Europe and Kennedy will now be International Regional Sales Manager.

Here is a little more about these AMX International sales leaders.

Q: How long have you been With AMX and where is your home base?
A: I have worked for AMX for almost 7 years.  My home base is in the UK.

Q: What are some of the things you’ve experienced in your current role that prepared you for your new position?
A: Prior to taking on the role of Managing Director at AMX UK, I was the Regional Manager for EUMEA so I am very familiar with the market and the distributors.  I am heading into familiar territory with a new set of opportunities and challenges!

Q: Describe your new role and what you plan to accomplish?
A: My new role as Managing Director – Sales & Marketing Europe, will give me the opportunity to shape the future of AMX in the European market.  Powerful software products like the Resource Management Suite and VisualArchitect are changing the way that we approach the market.  We will work with our partners to make AMX the de facto solution for AV asset management and control while making the programming and integration of an AMX system easier than it has ever been before.

Q: What Do You Enjoy Most About Going To Work at AMX International?
A: Europe is a very diverse region with a kaleidoscope of cultures, languages, food and history.  My daily interaction and travels bring a fresh set of challenges and experiences every day.  I look forward to these challenges and opportunities as a part of the AMX Europe Team.


Justin Kennedy

Q: How long have you been With AMX and where is your home base?
A: I started working at AMX in 1998 and I am based at the AMX Headquarters in Richardson, TX.

Q: What are some of the things you’ve experienced in your current role that prepared you for your new position?
A: First and foremost, I've been fortunate to develop some excellent relationships over the past several years with many of our world partner distributors. Additionally being out on the road at trade shows, road shows, product trainings and sales presentations, has given me some invaluable experience to support our international market.

Q: Describe your new role and what you plan to accomplish?
A: My new role involves managing the territories of North Asia (which include China, Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) and South Africa. I will be working closely with our World Partners in these regions to provide sales support, design support, sales training, product awareness, and market development in order to ultimately increase sales in these areas.

Q: What Do You Enjoy Most About Going To Work at AMX International?
A: I enjoy the atmosphere of the company and working with a dedicated and professional team who take pride in their work. I'm looking forward to the challenges and excitement that the new position brings.
