The industry’s first System Design Library (SDL) is now available. SDL is a revolutionary toolkit for AMX Dealers that provides a wide variety of pre-packaged solutions designed to simplify every step of the sales, system design and integration process.
The first AMX SDL designed for the Presentation Facilities vertical market was unveiled at InfoComm. It provides a unique turn key solution to allow dealers to sell, program and install a variety of packages for boardrooms/conference rooms, training facilities and auditoriums.
Each SDL Includes:
- Three pre-designed marketing solution sheets for every facility type, each showcasing a different level of control – from a basic Level 1 system all the way up to a more extensive Level 3 system.



These sheets help dealers explain to their customers how a control system can benefit their organizations by illustrating in non-technical terms, the functionality and types of applications an AMX system can control and automate. A comparison chart of all levels is also included.
- A new VA Sales Assistant , which is used to build and generate proposals. Once the customer identifies the level of control that best meets his/her needs, dealers simply log onto amx.com and visit the vertical market most applicable to the customer's needs. Then simply select the facility type and level of control desired by the customer. (For example, for a business presentation facility, visit: www.amx.com/markets/business and then click on boardrooms/conference rooms, auditoriums or training facilities. Note this is the only SDL available at this time.)
The entire system will appear, and the dealer can customize the equipment list as needed. Once finished, the tool will automatically generate the proposal.
- VisualArchitect Project Files – Possibly the most significant timesaving tool of all. Leveraging the power of AMX’s VisualArchitect application, the industry’s most robust software for building and designing control systems, AMX is providing dealers with the entire system – already designed for them. To begin, simply visit the market and facility type SDL you are interested in. Under each facility type level, you will be able to download the VisualArchitect project file and the system will appear.
Then, using the proposal, the system designer can make any needed changes.
- An extensive resource manual has also been developed for each SDL, which is a comprehensive “cheat sheet” for every solution in the library, designed to guide integrators through the entire sales process. The SDL manual for every facility type can be found on the facility type SDL index page under "System Design Library Resources."

- We have also included on each facility type's index page, AMX Solutions at Work, which are links to AMX case studies, which AMX dealers can download, print and share with prospective customers to demonstrate similar applications, which were designed with AMX solutions. This section can also be found under "System Design Library Resources."
