White House Unveils New Situation Room

The Situation Room at the White House was just unveiled to the media mid-way during a technology remodeling project. After eight months and a classified number of taxpayer dollars — White House officials expect their "Sit Room" to function at a higher level than ever before. While the gear list isn't being made public, it's safe to say that AMX is definitely in the mix. See above image and the Modero Touch Panels front and center.

AMX was chosen to handle lighting and controller duties. The installation won CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Designers Choice Awards for Best Intergrated Home Level VI ($700,000-$925,000).

Greg Nutt, president of Southhampton Homes recently
partnered with AMX to offer high-end home-automation and entertainment systems in Regency Estates, his new, 61-unit townhome project in the Chicago suburb of St. Charles, Ill., which is also where the builder is based. Each unit will include an AMX 5-inch Touch Panel, an AMX NetLinx Controller and selected third party gear.
