Announcing Anterus, the new Radio Frequency
IDentification (RFID) Solution from AMX, which offers exciting capabilities never before available in an integrated AV or control system. Instant triggering of system events or notifying administrators is as simple as walking into or out of a room or by pressing a key chain transmitter.

The Anterus system consists of the RFID Reader, which
is connected to the NetLinx Controller, and a choice of
RFID tags (Asset Tag, ID Badge or Key Chain). These are attached to devices or worn by people to identify and track location, keep assets secure and trigger events.

RMS Ready
Anterus was designed to work with and enhance the AMX Resource Management Suite (RMS) of software for the ultimate in device management, monitoring and scheduling. RMS can notify administrators as Anterus-tagged devices and people wearing Anterus badges or carrying key chains move in and out of Anterus-monitored zones.

For those users who are not utilizing RMS, the Anterus system is also immediately ready to work as a standalone support device in the AMX control system.

One Solution - Endless Applications

Meeting Rooms and Classrooms

• Identify, locate and track mobile devices such as projectors and DVD players that may be regularly moved throughout classrooms within a school
• By wearing an RFID badge or carrying a key chain, a professor or meeting organizer can effortlessly begin a lesson or presentation by triggering lighting to be dimmed, powering up the projector, lowering the screen and starting the presentation – just by stepping through the door

Hospitals

• Secure larger, fixed assets such as hospital heart-rate monitors or dialysis machines, not traditionally connected to an RMS-supported control system
• In a hospital that issues RFID badges to their personnel, RMS can notify system administrators when a doctor moves in and out of a monitored area to determine the closest physician in a trauma situation.

Residential/MDU

• The key chain is perfect for a home or condo owner returning home for the evening to push their key chain and initiate a pre-programmed “return home” sequence (music on, volume adjusted, drapes opened, temperature lowered)

Security Applications

• The key chain button allows users to silently notify security of an intruder or crisis by discreetly reaching into their pocket and pushing a button

The Anterus solution will be available to authorized AMX dealers and distributors within 90 days.
