Now users can "grab" meeting rooms on an impromptu basis and they will automatically be "reserved" as unavailable to all system calendars - Outlook, Exchange and RMS!
If the meeting needs to be extended, it can be with just a touch and again, everything is recorded and in synch in all calendars. When the meeting is over, another button press frees the room on its external Touch Panel and all calendars.
RMS 3.1 also includes "Doorbell" and "Do Not Disturb" external touch panel sign functionality to keep meetings confidential and uninterrupted.
Schedule Rooms and Instantly Sync Calendars:
- While viewing the meeting schedule on a room’s external Modero Touch Panel, users can “grab” the room for an impromptu meeting and select meeting duration in 15-minute increments.
- As impromptu meetings are scheduled on the touch panel, they are automatically “reserved” as unavailable in all calendars. When the meeting is over, one simple touch on the panel frees the room and writes the room’s availability to the calendars.
- If a meeting is about to end and there is no other meeting scheduled, a pop-up on the touch panel will invite meeting attendees to extend the meeting in 15-minute increments. All calendars will reflect this new information.
Preserve Meeting Confidentiality with Room Doorbell and "Do Not Disturb" Electronic Signage
- By simply pressing a doorbell icon on a room's external touch panel, room occupants will hear a doorbell (played as a .wav file) and see a popup on the internal touch panel notifying them that someone requests their attention from the outside of the room.
- Meetings can remain confidential and closed when users push a button to display an electronic "Do Not Disturb" sign on the room's external touch panel.
