International Operations Expand
to India With Opening of New Regional Office in Bangalore

We are pleased to announce expansion of our international operations into India with a new regional office in Bangalore.

Under the leadership of Michael Gopal, who will be the managing director, AMX India will be responsible for sales, marketing, product distribution, technical support and training. ISE is being held in Amsterdam Jan. 29 – 31.

“While AMX has had a distributor presence in India for many years, we feel the time is right to establish a direct presence so that we can provide our growing customer base with an even higher level of on-going service and support,” said Michael Olinger, AMX vice president of international sales.

“Over the course of his career, Michael has helped large, multinational corporations, such as Microsoft, IBM and Goldman Sachs, with their audio/video and communications needs in India. He has the right mix of technology and client management experience to lead AMX’s operations in what is geographically speaking, one of our fastest growing emerging markets.”

Prior to joining AMX, Gopal was director of projects and sales for the Southeast Asia region for Visionaire Technology Group Inc. and director of consulting services for Techlogique Consulting Group. He was also previously a project manager for the International Technical Services division of Global Hyatt Corporation. While in this role, he oversaw technology implementations for a number of high-profile hotel properties, including the Grand Hyatt Mumbai and Hyatt Regency Kolkata.

The permanent office for AMX India will open in mid-February. In addition to Gopal, the facility will house sales, technical support and training staff. It will also include classrooms for AMX University, the company’s worldwide training program.
