Honored to Support Great Causes
AMX and Dealers Sponsor Fundraising Gala
AMX was recently proud to support an annual fundraising event, the Black and White Ball of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
As a corporate sponsor, AMX and two of its dealers – Audio Visual Innovations (AVI) and Admiral Communications supported the cause to raise awareness and money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the IFMA Foundation Scholarship Fund as well as to gather and present toys to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The evening included a raffle, silent auction and toy drive.

The auction raised $2,500 - all of which was donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. The raffle was also a huge success with an additional $2,500 in proceeds raised to benefit the IFMA Foundation Scholarship Fund, which annually awards scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students pursuing degrees in facility management or related fields.
AMX, AVI and Admiral Communications were also among the sponsors and attendees that collected more than 300 toys, bicycles, dolls and other gifts to benefit the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, which were distributed to needy children in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.
“Giving back to the community has always been an important part of the corporate culture at AMX and we were so incredibly proud to be a sponsor of IFMA’s Holiday Gala, which turned out to be a very successful fundraising event. Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a significant foundation in the fight against cancer and we were thrilled to be able to assist with the fundraising efforts. We were also extremely appreciative of AVI and Admiral Communications for their involvement as sponsors as well,” said Laurie Brigman, AMX Director of Strategic Accounts.
“Audio Visual Innovations is proud to have been a sponsor of the IFMA Holiday Event this year. AVI has been fortunate enough to have been involved with IFMA over the years at a regional level as well as at a national level. It is part of our commitment to both the industry and the community at large to be able to give back to those that we work beside and serve. We plan to continue our involvement with IFMA for a long time to come,” said Jeff Abee, Branch Manager Audio Visual Innovations.
