AMX University Updates
To Kick Off 2009

Brief Retrospective
2008 was a record year for AMX University. More than 4,150 individuals completed 23,000+ courses either OnDemand or in our classrooms around the world. Throughout the year, we released 24 new courses, introduced multiple languages in our online system, and opened six new training centers. Thanks to all of you who participated in any activity to continue your education with AMX last year!

Simplified Access to OnDemand Courses
Effective immediately, you will notice a simplifed experience at AMX University Online. We have added the OnDemand courses to the AMXpert 2009 track, making them easier to find. These courses are now presented in logical groupings with introductory level courses at the top of the list and advanced courses at the bottom.

Any learn track that you are registered in will be presented below the AMXpert list. You'll find it easier than ever to manage your online education with AMX.

To further simplify your online experience, we have eliminated several steps (clicks). Now you will see a LAUNCH button next to each OnDemand course.  There is no longer the need to REGISTER for these online sessions. Just click LAUNCH and wait for your course to start.

Congratulations to all of you who completed your ACE Maintenance plan during 2008!  If you did not complete your ACE Maintenance plan, you will be contacted during the 1st Quarter of 2009 with an invitation to complete the new ACE exam(s) for 2009.  

New Prerequisite  
As of January 2009, ONL – AMX Essentials 2008 replaced Getting Started with AMX as a prerequisite for all AMX classroom courses and certifications. This new course presents an updated view of today’s AMX, making it a much more effective course for all AMX students.

If you liked the old Getting Started with AMX, don’t worry, that course will be updated and relaunched as Getting Started with AMX Control.

The 2009 classroom schedule is posted and there are seats available in many sessions across the USA and around the world.
