AutoPatch joined the AMX family of products in December and this month we take an in-depth look at this powerhouse of high performance audio, video, and digital signal switching and routing equipment and accessories.

The AutoPatch Matrix Switching line includes six matrix familes from our pre-configured off-the-shelf Precis Series switchers to the incredibly customizable, large-scale Epica Series.

Precis LT

• The most compact of the AMX AutoPatch Matrix Switcher line
• Designed to provide the superior performance of our larger line in a variety of compact, highly economical, off-the-shelf units.

 

Precis LT with DSP

• Enhance the beauty of sound in every room with individual integrated full 10-band equalization for each output
• Designed to fine tune the acoustics to suit the physical characteristics of each destination zone.

 

Precis HT

• Ideal for multi-zone residential signal distribution, the PrecisHT routes and distributes composite, component, analog audio, and digital audio.
• The digital audio section supports both TosLink and S/PDIF and converts between them.

 

Precis

• These "fixed yet flexible" matrix switchers are designed with BNC connections to route composite, Y/c, RGB, RGBs, RGsB or RGBHV (all with stereo audio).
• At the time of order the factory can program each level individually to provide a number of creative configuration solutions.

 

Optima

• The final piece to any integration puzzle - the Optima Matrix Switcher has more than 45 mix-and-match board options to accommodate multiple signal types.
• Replace multiple routers with a single Optima matrix switching system for ease of integration and control.

 

Modula

• Our most flexible matrix switcher
• Modula I/O boards simply slide into place as needed to increase matrix size at the time of purchase - or later in the field.

 

Modula CatPro

• Receive, route, and transmit uncompressed RGBHV + stereo over category cable.
• There are no worries about exact cable measurements or readjusting gain, peak, and skew when routing signal paths of various lengths.

 

8Y

• The 8Y Matrix Switcher is a dependable, high-performance solutions for large signal routing applications.
• Built for flexibility, video BNC connections can be configured on various programmable levels to allow for multiple signal types and multiple virtual matrix configurations within the system.

 

Epica

• The Epica is a dependable, high-performance solution for routing applications up to 256x256 and beyond.
• With unmatched system specifications for a matrix switcher its scale, the Epica is the perfect solution when both size and capabilities matter.

 

Epica DG

• The EpicaDG combines signal conversion with fiber optic routing and transmission.
• Its exclusive digital platform converts between video formats allowing for any input to be routed out to any output simultaneously regardless of source format.
• Any signal can be received or transmitted via fiber cable as well as via local connections.

 

1Y Series

• The 1Y Series is a customizable system allowing for as many as four signal types, up to 16x16 per signal type in the same system.
• Applications include boardrooms, video arraignment systems, security applications, education and residential.

Meet Doug Shields
New AMX Consultant Alliance Midwest Liaison

Doug Shields just joined the Consultant Alliance Group and we invite you to meet him and discover why he's so excited to be supporting you.

As a Consultant Alliance Liaison, Doug will support AMX’s relationships with its consultants, architects and engineers in several states spanning the Midwest. 

Doug brings over 30 years of industry experience to AMX. Prior to joining AMX, Doug worked for ClearOne Communications as Manager of Strategic AV Integrator Sales Engineering. In that role, Doug managed seven Field Sales Engineers who would call on consultants throughout North America. 

Doug also worked as a manufacturer’s specialist for Starin Distributing, as a manufacturers’ sales representative and as a principal of an AV integration firm. 

Doug explains why he came to AMX and how he will be increasing customer satisfaction. “AMX is poised for dramatic growth especially in light of their recent acquisitions of Endeleo, Autopatch and Matrix Audio Designs. I look forward to the opportunity to increase AMX‘s level of service and support to the consultants I serve.”
