Sophisticated Camera Control

From AMX

Broadcast Quality - Precision Accuracy - Ethernet Versatility

Today's fastest growing media affiliates and largest film studios trust AMX technology as a way to maximize their return on investment by optimizing their time. Powerful AMX Widescreen Camera Control Systems can open new doors of creative opportunity for your most discriminating clients.

This month we feature the new Modero PosiTrack Pilot Camera Controller and Ethernet Pan/Tilt Head and show you how they might be perfect for supporting your clients' broadcast projects.

Modero PosiTrack Pilot
Camera Controller

Industry's First Controller with Widescreen Preview!

The all-new Modero PosiTrack Pilot Camera Controller (NXP-PLV) adds Ethernet connectivity and a 7” Modero Widescreen Touch Panel. This makes it ideal for a variety of clients or projects requiring sophisticated camera control.

Applications
Religious services; local, state and federal government proceedings; classroom lectures; robotically controlled camera studios; rehearsal spaces, complex video conferences, and other applications requiring advanced camera control systems.

Widescreen Interface
This first for the broadcast industry gives camera operators a true 16 x 9 widescreen for pre-viewing high-definition camera shots. The widescreen interface also gives operators the freedom to preview from several cameras, visually track and change their movement, store and recall presets and adjust each camera's settings.

Simplified Control / Ergonomic Comfort
Utilizing the ergonomic comfort of the soft wrist pad and intuitive joystick, the operator can pan cameras right and left, tilt up and down and twist to zoom the lens in and out. Additionally, a quick spin of the side-mounted control knob fine-tunes focus, iris and speed.

The NXP-PLV supports up to six cameras and is an ideal controller for the AMX Ethernet Pan/Tilt Head (see below for details).

Ethernet Pan/Tilt Head

The newest camera control head in the AMX Pan/Tilt Head series is the Ethernet Pan/Tilt Head (PTE-300). It capably controls camera lens zoom, focus and iris features with the highest level of broadcast quality precision.

It significantly reduces installation time for AMX dealers because a separate control network is no longer required.

The PTE-300 uses gears rather than pulleys to pan and tilt the camera, which provides very smooth operation and it's compatible with VisualArchitect so you can implement it into any AMX system design.

Ethernet Versatility
Supporting AMX’s commitment to standards-based technologies, the PTE-300 features an Ethernet control interface offering more installation flexibility, increased distances to the master controller and no proprietary cable runs.

Precision Movement / Accurate Preset Recalls
This head steps up to the plate with precise, slow
speed movements and accurate camera angle preset
recalls. No matter where you need the camera to be, or
how slow you need it to move, you can count on precision
accuracy every time.

Carries the Load
The PTE-300 can support larger cameras weighing up to 30 pounds, yet shares the same small form factor of control heads capable of supporting 15 pounds or less.

Device Discovery Inside
With Device Discovery technology built-in, the AMX NetLinx Controller recognizes the PTE-300 immediately, making the device easily identifiable on the network for quick configuration.
