OVERVIEW
The MAX Audio/Video player is a streaming audio/video content player that communicates directly with MAX HT servers to display streaming A/V content. It features a built in standalone DVD/CD player, contemporary styling and enhanced functionality.

COMMON APPLICATION
Ideal for high-end residential use as well as a variety of vertical markets, such as education, entertainment, and digital signage.

  • Plays DVDs (and audio CDs) from its internal DVD/CD player
  • Plays audio and video content over a CAT5 network interface from a MAX-HT server
  • Provides A/V output in multiple formats: Component Video, Composite Video, S-Video and HDMI™ (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)
  • Provides both analog stereo and coaxial digital audio outputs. The supported digital audio outputs are Dolby® Digital (S/PDIF), Dolby® Digital-Plus (Surround 5.1, 7.1), and DTS® Surround

Prerequisites: Requires a MAX-HT or MMS server with software version at least 4.34.33 with applied hotfix of 4.34.37-1 for networked operation.
New Features:
  • Fixed issue where MAX-AVP would periodically drop offline or hang and improved system stability
  • System now detects and handles any missing CD album or track data when encountered and operates as expected
  • MAX-AVP is now compatible with display devices with HDMI 1.3
  • Added a watchdog to monitor critical subsystems to detect and recover from faults
  • Added network monitor feature to automatically reboot if the MAX-AVP loses communication with the server for over 5 minutes. If MAX-AVP is used without a server then the user must change the "Network Mode:" setting to "Standalone" under the Setup/Settings page of the MAX-AVP. Otherwise the AVP will reboot every 5 minutes. This feature is on by default after upgrading to v1.20.4.
