The NI-3000 is geared to satisfy the more advanced control and automation requirements within a larger area or multiple rooms. This solution is engineered with twice as many ports and relays as the NI-2000, offering a greater level of built-in control and automation functionality.

The NI-3000 integrates a larger number of electronics such as VCR and DVD players, projectors, projection screens, lights and other connected systems. In technology-driven environments, this solution allows for the future addition of more devices and control capabilities.

Master build 300 or greater. (see Programming Information)

Changes in this release

  • Added support for device TCP/IP address hot-swap to support MVP-9000i
  • Added support for expedited OFFLINE/ONLINE cycle to support MVP-9000i
  • Closed VxWorks WDB security hole by removing the WDB agent from the VxWorks kernel. Under the previous firmware versions, the security hole was only exposed when the master had a static IP address. (US-CERT VU#362332)

Programming Information
If you currently have a firmware build less than 300, to upgrade to this version (or greater) the upgrade requires the following process:
  1. Download kit with build 300 (or greater) - Download of last component will fail
  2. Reboot master
  3. Wait until you have connectivity to the master or you have a blinking AxLink status LED. This may take a couple of minutes
  4. Download kit with build 300 (or greater) again - Download should pass
  5. Reboot master
  6. Please wait. This will take a few minutes for file extraction and key SSH generation. When you have connectivity to the master or the AxLink LED is blinking the master is ready

  • Fixed issue where serial ports would sometimes drop data.
  • Fixed missing button release on MIO-IRRX.
  • Fixed issue where serial ports would not receive data.
  • Resolved serial port lock ups.
  • Fixed some 485 tx/rx problems.
  • Support for XCH command for 4 digit channel. New XCH modes 5 & 6 added. These are equivalent to the current modes 1 & 2 except for 4 digit channel numbers.
  • Increased speed of I/O detection.
  • Added command to enable/disable check for escape sequences in strings being transmitted. Commands are ESCSEQOFF and ESCSEQON. The default behavior is now off (used to be on).
  • Fixed IR LED #7.
  • Fixed some issues with XCH command.
  • Fixed states of IO ports after a reboot.
