Equipment Monitoring and Proactive Maintenance

RMS constantly monitors equipment in your system and, in real time, reports any disturbances in functionality by paging or generating an email to the appropriate member(s) of your staff. System status may also be viewed in real time from any location using a browser-based console.

Multilingual Support
RMS supports eight languages - Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish - and localizes based on the user's installed operating system.

Meeting Room Scheduling and Configuration
RMS combines scheduling, equipment configuration and customized touch panel signage to make room preparation a snap. Appointments can be set three ways:

  • directly from the AMX Touch Panel outside the room;
  • via Microsoft Outlook/Exchange®, GroupWise®, Lotus Notes®, R25® or Planon;
  • or directly in RMS.
Either way, the reservation is communicated back to the scheduling server. With RMS, you can check a room's daily, weekly or monthly availability; reserve your room; and schedule your projector to be up and running as your guests arrive.
  • Schedule, end or extend a meeting at the touch panel or web interface (Available for Outlook/Exchange, Lotus Notes, or the internal RMS Scheduler only)
  • Doorbell on external panel notifies room occupants of visitors
  • Do Not Disturb feature prevents event interruptions
  • Create electronic signage with custom display graphics on any Modero Touch Panel
  • Preset lights, audio and climate to your specifications for every event
  • Integrate with Outlook/Exchange®, GroupWise®, Lotus Notes®, R25® or Planon®

Maintaining Data
RMS works seamlessly with your database server to log data, create a variety of instant reports and export log data for customized reporting. Only AMX supports SQL Express, which eliminates the need for a dedicated SQL Server.

RMS keeps your investments secure by sending instant alerts when assets - such as a projector or mobile A/V cart - are unplugged or relocated. Additionally, feel secure knowing that the administrative functions are password protected.

Simple Network Management Protocol (SNAPI) Support
This industry standard protocol allows IT administrators to execute remove diagnostics, manage performance and plan for network growth - all in a clear, definitive and intuitive format.

Notification Groups
Administrators can monitor devices by assigning them to 14 different notification parameters (security, maintenance, network, etc.) and sort within these notification groups based on device type, room or group. Redundant Server with Failover Support
To minimize server downtime, RMS will enable the deployment of several backup methods to protect your data.

Device and Asset Tracking
Create and register any asset – such as tables/chairs, flip charts, podiums/lecturns and mobile A/V carts – for inventory management. The location of items can also be tracked in real time using Anterus™ Asset Tags. Instant notifications can then be sent when these items are moved.

Automation Based on System Conditions
Configure MeetingManager to perform a specific function as a result of a pre-defined event. For example, the system can be configured to automatically:

  • Turn on a fan based on the temperature threshold in an equipment rack
  • Turn on a security light or audible alarm if a device is moved out of a zone without authorization
  • Raise and lower motorized shades based on ambient lighting conditions
  • Turn lights and non-essential equipment, such as a projector or display, on or off based on the occupancy status of a room
