NMX-ENC H.264 Encoder Firmware v1.5.2

Note: this is an old version. The current version is: NMX-ENC H.264 Encoder Firmware v1.6.17. ×

Last Updated: 3月16日

Changes in this release:

Record

  • Addition of Record capability. Record is limited to a maximum bitrate of 8Mbps for 1280x720p 60Hz or 4Mbps for 1920x1080p 30Hz.
  • Forwarding feature provides the capability to transfer recorded videos to a selected server. Forwarding only occurs when the unit is not actively recording.
  • Addition of user-configurable NTP provides the ability for the device to update its time and date information.

Stream

  • Dual streaming will provide two unicast or a unicast and a multicast destination address where the same encoded video can be streamed.

Encoding

  • The input video can now be scaled down to one of three lower resolutions prior to video encoding.

System

  • User Management allows a controlled method of interaction with the unit with "admin" being the only user that can have exclusive access to device configuration and control.
  • ICSP security allows the device to connect to masters that have their security feature enabled.
  • One time "Install Rear HDD" function prepares a Rear USB HDD for recording the encoded video.

UI

  • Event log button will display a listing of device events in a seperate static tab.

Known Issues:

Encoding Restarts

  • On rare occassions the streaming and/or recording will halt. When this occurs the streaming and/or recording will restart automatically with a five to ten second loss of video.

Record

  • Recording should always be carried out using an external USB Hard Drive. Use of Flash Drives/Sticks can result in unexpected recording errors.
  • NTP can occassionally take several minutes to retrieve the date and time. If NTP is enabled, streaming and recording will be prohibited until the time has been successfully acquired.
  • NTP does not support Daylight Savings Time.

UI

  • Some web browsers will retain credentials even when the user has logged out of the encoder web pages. When this occurs, users can access the encoder web pages using previously entered credentials. AMX recommends clearing the browser cache and restarting the web browser if a guaranteed logout is required.

Firmware Upgrade

  • If dual stream is selected and the encoder is downgraded to a 1.2.X version (previously released firmware) the unit will always select the unicast address when streaming is chosen.
